Alicia Meyer will be defending her dissertation, The Bridewell Standard: Gender, Race, and Agency on the Early Modern Stage, on Monday, April 25. The public portion of the defense will take place from 3-4 pm.
 
At the end of the defense, please be ready to raise a glass (and perhaps to share a toast of your own—a memory, good luck, whatever comes to mind) to Alicia’s successful completion of the dissertation—along with her recent Dean’s teaching award, postdoctoral Fellowship for Teaching Excellent, and the wonderful presence she has been at Penn over the years.
